Our Mission

The Mission of the Roseville Police Foundation is to advance public safety by supporting and providing additional resources to strengthen the Roseville Police Department. This will be achieved by enhancing Roseville Police Departmentโ€™s capacity to provide quality services through outreach initiatives and the pursuit of innovative training, the acquisition of supplemental equipment and technology.  Foundation resources will not replace city funding for required law enforcement services.

Taste of Rosefest

Despite the soggy conditions and water pooling across the grounds, Taste of Rosefest was a fantastic success for the Roseville Rotary Clubโ€”and a good day for the Roseville Police Foundation and Roseville Police Department as well!

Our display table drew steady attention with drones, K9s Rooster and Cal, K9 plushies, RPF pamphlets, fun giveaways like stickers, pens, pencils, candyโ€”and cold bottled water. The drones especially sparked curiosity and conversations, and we were excited to share details about our campaign to raise $180,000 for an Armored Rescue Vehicle. The response was enthusiastic: we sold $650 worth of K9 plushies (which includes $90 in direct donations) to support RPD.

Insider scoop: Thereโ€™s a friendly rivalry brewing between Officers Mitch Christenson and Zach Wiesnerโ€”handlers of Cal and Rooster. So far, Calโ€™s plushie is outselling Roosterโ€™s. While Rooster may be indifferent, Zach isnโ€™t! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Support the Roseville Police Department: Armored Rescue Vehicle Fundraiser

The Roseville Police Foundation is raising $180,000 to purchase an armored rescue vehicle for the Roseville Police Department. This life-saving vehicle will protect officers, first responders, and civilians during high-risk incidents like active shooters and dangerous rescues.

Tragic events in Burnsville, Minneapolis, and right here in Roseville have highlighted the urgent need for this resource. In 2022, an active shooter fired over 200 rounds in a residential neighborhood, seriously injuring Officer Ryan Duxbury. His evacuation was dangerous and difficultโ€”this armored vehicle will ensure safer, faster rescues in the future.

Unlike large SWAT vehicles that can take up to 45 minutes to arrive, this bullet-resistant Sprinter van will be deployed instantly by patrol officers, providing critical protection in emergencies.

Chief Erika Scheider emphasizes: โ€œThis rescue vehicle is not just for Rosevilleโ€”it will also be available to assist our surrounding communities in their times of need.โ€

Why Your Support Matters:

โœ… Faster Response: Enables immediate action in critical incidents.
โœ… Increased Safety: Protects officers, first responders, and civilians.
โœ… Metro-Wide Impact: Available to assist neighboring cities.
โœ… Proven Need: Other local agencies are investing in similar vehicles.

Weโ€™ve already secured half the funding through private donationsโ€”help us raise the remaining $90,000 to reach our goal!

Donate today to help provide this essential rescue vehicle for our officers and community. Every contribution brings us one step closer to making Roseville and the surrounding metro area safer.

A huge thank you to the Granite Foundation for their generous $50,000 donation toward the rescue vehicle.
